Hauser & Wirth

Our initial structural scope was the repurposing of the iconic Roxy roller disco into a Chelsea art gallery.

We were then tasked with ensuring the safe installation and support of Paul McCarthy’s wooden sculptures. The exhibition consisted of 6 sculptures with a total weight of over 15 tons placed in non symmetrical locations. We analyzed the original 1919 steel framing, modeled the new loads, and ensured that not only would the final locations be safe, but also the sequence and path of installation not compromise building stability.
